The 90s are still felt here through the bullet holes in the walls of houses, in the cemeteries scattered here and there, in the museums. As in the rest of the country, in Sarajevo 4 different religions blend together, along with different cultures, so you find yourself strolling among churches, Orthodox cathedrals, mosques and synagogues, between the tolling of bells and the muezzin’s call to prayer. We visited the city over two half-days, but the itinerary we’re sharing can perfectly be done in a single day. For getting around, since a couple of destinations are on the outskirts of the city and absolutely not reachable on foot, we used our van, but we saw plenty of people making use of the many taxis.

Why this blog? What could possibly be new to write, say or show in 2022? Can you still listen to that voice inside you telling you to do something so you don’t bury yourself under everyday complaints, and finally change the life that doesn’t feel like it fits you? We want to believe it. We want to try. We started sharing our passion for travel and change 5 years ago, when we thought a distance of 100 km wouldn’t let us build a stable relationship or start a family. We changed our minds, booked that train to Paris, and started giving ourselves a chance.

We’re Sara and Paolo, born in 1990 under the sign of Pisces, stubborn dreamers. We met talking about the countries we wanted to visit, and we haven’t stopped travelling together since. We’ve covered kilometers on foot, by bike, car, train and plane, until in May 2022 we decided that a van could be the ideal home to help us collect emotions rather than souvenirs and postcards around the world.
